They're not really all that exciting, but if you find yourself wondering where something you read went, we figured it'd be pretty mean to just delete them. So here they are - the random little alerts we put at the top of the home page once in a while. Archived for your scroll bar's protection.
October 1, 2006: E-Z Reader version: 1. Click here for current stuff. 2. Click here for lots of old stuff. 3. Check back often.
September 25, 2006: It was also requested that there be photos of our new home. Here's one. More will follow when we update the homebuying bit...
September 23, 2006: The time has come, the Walrus said, to speak of many things. Like what is going on in life and other sundry things. You cheat by rhyming things with things, but do War Pigs have wings? It seemed like the best way to get the proverbial ball rolling again was to push it down the hill and see what it leaves in it's wake. So we're going to start our journal up again with today. "Today," in this context, being the week of September 17 through the 23rd. As you can see, we've put snazzy little place holders in, er, place - since that's what placeholders do - to indicate past journeys that need to be filled in. Many of them are in fragmented little pieces on our laptops awaiting some formatting, sense of order, and maybe photos. (Thank god for digital - we'd be literally overrun with photos nobody wants to see if we actually printed them all.) So, enjoy the current, and check back to see when the little "under contruction" images disappear so that you can learn about the past. Some of it was quite exciting.
June 27, 2006: We are South Dakotians!
June 7, 2006: Vantom's butt has been reassembled and things seem to be going better this time. The shop that worked on it drove it about 130 miles with no problems, and we put on another 50 or so tonight. No toxic fumes, no fuming pinion housing, no sudden loss of dashboard information. Life is good. Since it's Wednesday night, we're sticking around Evansville until Saturday and plan to update things soon. Yay.
June 4, 2006: Oh, the places we'll go. Eventually. So, technically, we are no longer full time RVers without the RV. On Tuesday, May 30, 2006, we purchased a travel trailer RV to tow behind Vantom. We've named him Zoomba and will post photos soon. So we are now just full-time RVers. Except our tow vehicle (Vantom) didn't take to his transformation from home to tow vehicle all so well. We broke down in Possum Junction, Indiana! Yes. P-O-S-S-U-M J-U-N-C-T-I-O-N. Even the locals consider that the middle of nowhere. So we got towed to Evansville and here we sit waiting for Dodge to confirm that they screwed up and can fix it. More on that soon.
May 22, 2006: You may have noticed a severe lack of updates over the last few months. No, we didn't fall off the face of the earth; we just travelled all over it and didn't have a chance to pimp our blog. Today we moved to a new hosting provider which went relatively smoothly except the http://whereare.keathandceridwen.com blog is not really all there. We're working on that. New stuff coming. We promise. (Hi mom!)
March 15, 2006: For those of you who know where we currently are (Kauai) and have heard the news about the dam, rest assured, we are alive and doing well. The dam was about six miles north of us, a little close for comfort, but we were safely out of harm's way and not trapped on the North Shore. Thanks, everyone, for your concern.
